A baseball infield with a cut-in turf team logo in the halo behind home plate, seen through the backstop netting

Baseball Halo

Sports surfaces take a different kind of punishment, and we build them for it.

Project Overview

A Cut-In Logo and
Halo Turf Around the Infield

This is the halo — the band of turf that wraps the skinned infield and carries the team mark. It is the most walked-on, most dragged-over strip of any ball field, and it is the first thing that looks tired when a field is surfaced with natural grass that never gets a rest between games.

The logo is not painted on. It is cut from coloured turf and seamed into the field, so it does not fade through a season, does not need re-painting before picture day, and does not turn into a bare patch where players stand. The halo runs to a clean edge against the infield mix so the transition stays sharp under a drag mat. The second frame is the same detail at another field, with the running track curving past it.
