Turf Mission
We started TNT Turf because Houston families deserve better than losing weekends to mowing and watering. Our mission is simple, give you a lawn you can enjoy every day, all year long, without the work that usually comes with it.

A backyard play area should be a soft place to land, not a mud pit or a mulch bed you rake every spring. We install padded playground turf that meets fall-height safety ratings, drains after Houston storms, and stays green all year.
A Houston back yard is hard on a play area. Wood mulch under the swings scatters and has to be topped up every season. Rubber mulch costs more and blows into the beds. Bare natural grass wears down to clay under the traffic, and after a Gulf storm that clay turns to mud the kids track straight into the house. Standing water in the low spots breeds mosquitoes on top of it. None of that is a good surface for a child to fall on.
Playground turf fixes the surface and the mess at the same time. We clear the old mulch or worn grass, re-grade the low spots, and lay a compacted, open-graded base so a downpour drains straight through. Over that goes a foam shock pad matched to the fall height of your swing set or play structure, then lead-free, UV-stable turf seamed and infilled to the edges. The result is a soft, even, always-green landing with no mulch to rake, no mud, and no water bill.
The turf itself is not the cushion. Under it we lay a foam shock pad, and the pad plus turf together carry a tested critical fall height, which is the drop a surface can absorb without a serious injury. We match the pad thickness to the height of your swing set or play structure. That is the part that turns a hard, patchy lawn into a soft, even landing for the kids.
Yes, and it ends the yearly chore that comes with it. Wood or rubber mulch scatters, thins out under the swings, blows into beds, and has to be raked level and topped up every season. Turf over a shock pad stays put. There is nothing to rake, nothing to refill, and nothing for the kids to track inside. The play area looks the same in July as it did the day we finished it.
Most of the time, yes. We measure around the posts and anchors, cut the turf and pad to fit each leg, and secure the edges so nothing lifts where small feet catch it. If the set sits on a footing we work around it. For a heavy structure it is cleaner to lift it while we build the base, so tell us what you have and we will plan the install around it.
It drains and the kids are back on it fast. Houston clay is why a mulch bed turns to mud and stays soupy for days. The turf backing is perforated and the base below it is open-graded rock, so a Gulf downpour moves straight down instead of pooling on top. There is no standing water to breed mosquitoes and no mud to wear the surface into bare patches.
These are the play areas where mulch and grass keep losing. If one of them describes the space behind your house, padded turf will hold where the old surface will not.
Serving homeowners, businesses, and property managers across Greater Houston with artificial turf built for our climate. From backyard putting greens and pet runs to courtyards, playgrounds, and commercial grounds, every install is measured on site, graded for drainage, finished by our own crew, and backed by a warranty we put in writing.

Our proven installation process ensures every project is completed efficiently with exceptional attention to detail.

We strip the existing lawn and excavate down to a clean, stable sub-grade. Old roots, thatch, and loose topsoil all come out, because anything organic left behind will settle later and telegraph through the finished turf.
Flexible poly board is staked around the entire perimeter to lock the base in place. It holds your shape through curves and radii, keeps the aggregate from migrating into beds, and gives the turf a clean edge to be fastened to.
The first base layer goes down and is graded for drainage. This is the load-bearing course that carries foot traffic and keeps the surface from rutting, and it is where the finished contours of the yard are established.
A second, finer layer is screeded over the first to true the surface. Two layers instead of one is what separates a lawn that stays flat for years from one that dips and waves after the first wet season.
The base is plate-compacted to spec, then the turf is rolled out, allowed to relax, and cut to the yard. Seams are aligned to a single blade direction and joined so they disappear, and the turf is nailed off along every edge.
Silica infill is spread and worked in with a power broom, lifting every blade upright as it goes. Infill is what gives the lawn its ballast, its underfoot feel, and its ability to stand back up after traffic.
We do a final groom, clear the site, and walk the finished yard with you edge to edge. What you are left with is a lawn that looks cut every day of the year, with no mowing, watering, or seasonal brown-out.
TNT Turf is on a mission to transform Houston homes and businesses with premium synthetic turf, delivering lasting quality, honest service, and yards our customers are proud to look at everyday.

Every yard we install gets measured twice, leveled right, and finished like it’s our own backyard. If a job isn’t done the right way, it’s not a job we’re willing to put our name on, plain and simple.
By 2030, we want to help turn 10,000 Houston backyards into low-water, low-maintenance green spaces. It’s our way of making Houston greener and more sustainable, giving families more time to enjoy their yards instead of maintaining them.
From your first quote to the final walkthrough, we keep pricing fair, communication honest, and show up when we say we will. It’s our way of making sure every customer feels taken care of, not just sold to.

The soft part is not the grass, it is the foam shock pad we lay underneath it. We choose the pad thickness to match the fall height of your play equipment, which is the highest point a child can fall from. Thicker pads absorb taller falls, and the pad and turf are tested together to the ASTM F1292 standard for critical fall height. We spec the pad to your equipment, so the landing is rated for the set your kids actually play on.
For a play area, turf over a shock pad holds up better than loose mulch or loose rubber. Mulch scatters, breaks down, hides sharp objects, and needs topping up every season. Loose rubber gets hot and can be kicked out or put in a small child's mouth. Turf over a pad stays level, drains after a Houston storm, gives the same fall protection every day, and is firm enough for wheelchairs and strollers.
Mulch is cheaper on day one, and we will tell you so. But over a few Houston summers the raking, the topping up, and the mud add up, while a padded turf surface stays the same.

Playground-grade turf is built for constant play, not just for looks. It sits on a shock pad safety system, uses antimicrobial infill and lead-free, non-toxic fibers, and carries a higher face weight so it stands up to daily traffic. The seams are glued flush with no trip edges, and the base underneath drains free so the surface never stays wet.
A foam pad under the turf gives a tested fall height, so a trip or a jump off the swing lands soft instead of on hard, worn ground.
Lead-free, non-toxic fibers and antimicrobial infill, chosen for a surface small kids sit on, crawl across, and put their hands all over.
A higher face weight and flush glued seams take constant play with no trip edges, over a free-draining base that never stays soggy.
Most residential projects are complete in 2–4 days. Larger commercial installs typically take 1–2 weeks.
Every install carries the manufacturer's product warranty against fading and wear, plus our own workmanship coverage on seams, edging, and base. Full terms come with your proposal.
Yes. We install lead-free, non-toxic turf over a permeable base that drains quickly, and we can add an antimicrobial infill for pet areas to keep odours down.
A rinse now and then and an occasional cross-brush of the high-traffic paths. No mowing, no watering, no fertiliser, and no seasonal brown-out.
Turf runs warmer than a natural lawn in direct sun. We specify cooler yarn and lighter infill where a yard gets full afternoon exposure, and a quick rinse brings the surface temperature straight back down.
Pricing depends on square footage, the turf you choose, and how much prep the site needs. We measure on site and give you a fixed written quote before any work starts.
