Pool Deck at Lake Conroe
An infinity-edge pool looking straight out over Lake Conroe, with the deck around it laid as a grid of pale pavers and turf joints. On the other side of the house, the same detail runs as a stepping-stone path through planting beside a raised terrace.
On a lakefront the deck is the view from the water as well as from the house, so the grid has to line through from both directions. Each turf joint is cut, based and anchored to its paver; the base is graded so run-off goes to the drainage line rather than over the infinity edge.
