An irregular flagstone pool deck with artificial turf worked into the joints, beside a waterside pool

Kemah

Irregular flagstone, with green in every joint.

Project Overview

A Flagstone
Pool Deck at Kemah

Irregular flagstone laid the length of the pool with turf worked into the joints, on a waterside lot with the boat dock and the neighbouring properties just beyond the fence.

Irregular stone is much slower to joint than a regular grid, because every gap is a different shape and each piece of turf has to be cut to it individually. The payoff is a deck that looks like it grew there. On a waterside lot the base also has to drain hard, since the whole deck takes wind-driven rain off the water.
